Terms of sale and license

1. Who we are

Faci Labs products are made and licensed by Faci Labs ("we", "us"). Contact: support@facilabs.com.

These terms apply when you download, install or use a Faci Labs product, or buy a license for one. If you don't agree with them, please don't install or use the product.

2. Buying

• Website and Microsoft Store editions: licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy (Link, LLC), our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy takes payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and sends your receipt. Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms apply to the payment.
• Steam edition: purchases are made on Steam under the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
• Prices are shown in US dollars before tax. Tax is added at checkout where the law requires it.

3. Your license

The software is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights in it, including copyright.

• Free edition: you may install and use it on your own computers at no cost.
• Pro: a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro features for the person who bought it. There is no subscription. On the website and Microsoft Store editions, Pro is unlocked with a license key; on Steam, with the Pro DLC.
• A license key needs an internet connection once to activate. After that, Pro keeps working offline. The app re-checks the key now and then while online.
• To move Pro to another computer, use Deactivate on this PC in the app first, then activate on the new one.

4. What you may not do

• Share, sell, publish or give away your license key, or try to get around the license check.
• Sell, rent or redistribute the software or a changed copy of it, except where we allow it in writing.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except as far as the law allows despite this term.
• Remove copyright or trademark notices.

Icons, images, fonts and other files you use with our software belong to their owners. You are responsible for having the right to use and share them.

5. Changes to your computer

IconTinker changes icon and cursor settings only in places Windows provides for them, records the original settings first, and lets you put them back. It does not edit Windows system files. Even so, keep your own backups of anything important.

6. Updates

We may release updates that fix problems, change features or add new ones. The website edition can check for updates (you can turn this off); the Microsoft Store and Steam deliver updates for their editions.

7. Refunds

See the refund policy. When a purchase is refunded or charged back, the license key is deactivated and the Pro license ends.

8. No warranty

As far as the law allows, the software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise that it will be free of errors or work with every version or setup of Windows.

9. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of the software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by contract.

10. Ending the license

Your license ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the software.

11. Trademarks

IconTinker™ is a trademark of Faci Labs. Windows and Microsoft Store are trademarks of Microsoft. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't take away rights for purchases already made.
